QuoteOoh! Ooh! OOH!! I need to amend my earlier vote for the twin tails. Do you happen to have a 1/48 Tornado? Do you see where I'm going with this? Use that monster of a tail in a single config. and blend a fuselage spine from it to the canopy(also helps fill in that odd step from -106 to -15).

Jon
Unfortunately I don't, BUT what if I added a 3rd tail in the center, larger than the Eagle tails? This plane is already over the top, so why not go the extra distance, right? :P  ;)

Well, the three tails would definitely take it all the way, so to speak. Thinking back, the single Tornado fin would make it look almost like an F-108 derivative, the *slightly* scaled-down fighter version, if you will. Take the initiative of "Rapier" and name it something sword-based. Let's see, Sabre's taken, Sword's not original, Katana? Blade? Ummm, I'm gassed......but do you see what I'm laying down here?

I vote for the two tails, with corresponding fins below the wings (ala...early F-108)

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

I'd say to go with twin tails on this beauty, but without much, if any, cant (consider the original twin-tailed configuration of the Vigilante).  With as large a wing as that, you really want two verticals so that you never get total blanking during maneuvering.  If you do orient them vertically, then Archibald's suggest of suitably located ventral fins also works nicely.

Hey Everybody,
Remember this one? I got a bit of inspiration tonight and finished up the R&D. The final piece of the puzzle was using the 2 halves of a F-16 vertical stab as the tail plane. This one FINALLY spoke up and said Recon and BDA was going to be it's main mission. I installed the Bazling Gun in the tail to discourage any back door bandits who would like to ruin our day. ;)  :P

Woah Eddie this one is absoultely fantastic! I love your T-tail mod and I'm sure a certain Howling Mouse will agree! I can't wait to see what kind of paint scheme you put on it.

Very nice! aand what you do with the exhaust (filling it with a cone, and then add a gun) is very clever!
