Interesting concept but a LOT of tech to transport 13 troops tho...

But I LIKE it's lines!

Reminds me of Barnes Wallis' idea for a hypersonic airliner/bomber that would cruise to the edge of space, wait for the world to turn, then descend.  It could be anywhere in the world in two hours.  He wasn't always right, but he reckoned the technology was possible if enough money was made available.  That was the sticking point, he thought it would be around £400 million, that was in the 1950's!  Not suprisingly, no one was willing to stump up the cash, but Barnes thought the idea was worth the cost for the adavancement it would bring.  I'd like to think it could have happened even though it was unlikely, but who knows?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I want one.

A real one, preferably.

But I will accept a scale model of one, if that's all I can get.

Yeah, I like the look but have a hard time with the concept that you can only fit 13 Marines in there (the USMC likes superior firepower these days, can't imagine that is going to change in the future).  Also, I don't see anything that suggests protective firepower from this beast while on the ground.  The Marines coming out of a single door?  That sounds like a death trap, this is the reason they developed their LAVs and their tracked vehicles (so that the Marines are protected until they are ready to fire their weapons).  Now if it had a ramp where a Light Armored Vehicle (filled with Marines) would exit....That I could see. Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...
