Actually, that isnt what-if. France license built some in the `30s, and these where captured and used by luftwaffe in full paint scheme!

Well, it was not exactly a T-6.  ^_^

the French aircrafts were BT-9, the ancestor of the T-6
(I think the T-6 was the BT-16 (or NA-16 ??) or something like that, but I'm not sure about that).

The BT-9 was basically an early T-6 with... spats (something for our dear BdB AkA spatman).

The AdA received hundreds (circa 200 or so, over 600 in comand) of BT-9 in the 1938-1940 era. They were used in training school such as Meknes... in North Africa.

Something fun is the AdA used TRUE T-6s for COIN (yes, they had machine guns  rockets and bombs underwings)  in the Algerian conflict in the late 50's!
In North Africa...

Some years ago in Le Fana a guy had a photo of a BT-9 flying over North Africa, probably in 1940. He thought it was a T-6 over Algeria 20 years later!  ;)

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Some south american operator (brazil i think) operated their T-6s right up to the 1970s, and these where modified to carry bombs, rockets and guns!
