Hi All, I'm having to redo a couple of bits where some of the embossed wooden paneling or chequer plate has warped over  time. Doe any one know why that is reaction to the glue maybe??

Warped wood is normally the result of uneven exposure to wetness. You can get into that trouble when you only use white glue only on one side of a flat wood panel - you need to press the piece heavily onto the surface where it is to stick until the glue has thoroughly dried and holds everything in place. On the other side, on a finished piece the surrounding humidity can make the wood work and expand, so that you get warped parts over time. That's a very tough case - depending on the situation you can try to re-glue the piece with pressure/force as mentioned before, but it could even be easier to replace the damaged parts. Very delicate work, needs real craftmansship.
