Well, looks like something I'd build using Potez tails, generic French fighter wings  and a pop  up toaster! :P

Wow, that is weird.

I have very little love for French aircraft, and this isn't helping.

However, it's SO weird it's loveable.

I'd love to see one done up like a clownfish.

It would make a neat 'demonstration' paint.

I guess it could be done in Vichy colours, too.

You've got to wonder, though... It makes B&V projects look sane!

Can you imagine how high the CG on that thing must be? And with such short wings, I'd think the loading would be very high. Not to mention that there's not much room for armour of any kind.

On the technically picky side, it looks to me like the rear wheels don't even fold up. What the??? You can tell it's French.

I can only imagine the carnage if that thing were caught at 90 degree deflection by a pilot who could see beyond the end of his cowling...

So weird... so wrong... so... cute...

It has a very Sci-Fi feel to it.

Would look cool in some tripped out camo.

Folks,

I'm not talking about the aircraft being thin in original design.  I'm talking about the moulding being incorrect.  From the looks of it, the fuselage is barely a foot across.  It seems like either the mould was incorrectly done or it was short shot or the resin shrunk really badly.

How do your kits look?

Yeah we all know Shas that you like those pointy jet-things. ;)

Even though it's a proven fact that spats add to the coolness factor of any aircraft by 1000%.

Here is my fuselage compared to a Buffalo's bulky one (1/72 also). The difference is outstanding  , yes, what-if this was the reason why the project was cancelled...? ;)

QuoteI LIKE IT!  It does have a very "anime" feel to it, but I wouldn't mind seeing it in Star Wars paint, fending off pirates from some Outer Rim world.
I was wondering if George Lucas had stolen a time machine and tried to help the French. It begs to be a rebel fighter.

hmmm.  I see your point.  Where does one find a squadron of anorectic pilots?

Folks,

I just emailed Igor about this.

I'll let you know what he says in reply.

The runways of Paris and Milan of course. They would all have to be female pilots and weigh about 98 pounds.

Folks,

Igor got back to me and here's what he had to say:

Quote
Hello Madoc,
I know what you mean, the model does look ridiculously small, but it was
built strictly upon the sizes and drawings published in the magazine.
Probably their data was not accurate or the designer really meant
miniature pilots in mind, I don't know.

Thanks,
Igor.

So, we're faced with a choice; accept the width as being entirely accurate to the sources used or do some modifications to make it realistic.  Given that the fuselage is but a single piece of resin, a modification would be no small task.
