Just received the Newsletter from the SIG leader Ian Day, and it's a cracker.
First a brief report re SMW06 and the SIG contribution, then a long article about the superlative Fw-190 kits from Eduard in 1/48th....a very well illustrated and good read.
Finally, Part 2 of the "background" to a Luftwaffe '46 scenario, taking in land, sea and air. The "divergeance" from reality takes place around 1942. The final moment, prior to the Allied invasion of Western Europe in June '44, is the destruction of the Soviet armies in theEast (all carefully reasoned) and the assasination of Stalin by a deranged medal winner at a ceremony! Cracking stuff.
More to follow in Part 3.
Love it!

scroll down and the Luftwaffe SIG has a pdf file.
There's also Ian Day (SIG Leader) as a contact e-mail.

To join the SIG costs £5 I think.
