New A Model Kit

When I saw this I instantly thought of Radish and a jet powered equivalent to the FB2 - in full RFC markings and a Lewis gun in the front seat  

Does anyone know anything about thsi contraption ?

And completely true! IIRC this bird was used as some kind of drone controller. The man in the open cockpit piloted the drones.

Oh, _that_ airplane!  

To the best of my knowledge, that's the only open cockpit jet engined fighter plane ever flown.

If that's not a reason to model the damn thing than nothing else is!

the jet powered biplane? dates from the 1980's i think.

also had some noseart as well. do you get this in the kit chris?
