When I saw this I instantly thought of Radish and a jet powered equivalent to the FB2 - in full RFC markings and a Lewis gun in the front seat  :P

Does anyone know anything about thsi contraption ?

Chris

Thought of Narses when I saw that!

It'd be interesting to eject from that one and not get sucked into the intakes!  Interesting idea, completely whacky.

Interesting idea, completely whacky.
And completely true! IIRC this bird was used as some kind of drone controller. The man in the open cockpit piloted the drones.

Folks,

Oh, _that_ airplane!   ;)

To the best of my knowledge, that's the only open cockpit jet engined fighter plane ever flown.

If that's not a reason to model the damn thing than nothing else is!
