Not long ago I was blown away by a big scratchbuilt Spitfire that showed up on Hyperscale.

Today I was checking out another forum I'm on and someone posted this link to an increadible WOODEN tank model.

That is some amazing craftsmanship !  I can't believe that only took 5 years...

Stunning work.

Is it a scarf you're knitting?

So finally it is revealed to the public! You become a JMN if exposed to a explosion! (lots of JMNs been playing with fireworks?) :P  :P  :P

I'm speechles too, when he spilled out the tool box I couldn't believe it, then he opened up the tank, just phenomenal. :o

Hey come on 777, 'JMN' is more of attitude to others rather than those with attention to detail.  You can't possibly comment on that without having at least seen the modeller himself.  There are modellers out there at this level who are very modest & keen to support others who's skills may not be as advanced as theirs.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Agreed., and in some cases the very worst JMN types are poo-poo (with an english accent) modellers.

HOLY...

That is insanely detailed and took an immense amount of dedication.  I couldn't believe that it only took 5 years!  That's amazing.  That would be great if it were displayed in a museum, but even then, I can't imagine it being displayed in a way that you'd fully appreciate the amount of skill and work it took to build that.
Man, we should have cloned twenties. Jackson wouldn't have given a poo-poo.

You know, the more I see work like this the more I'm convinced that there should be a travelling model exhibit that can tour the worlds great museums. I hate to think how many completely amazing models are out there and how few people get to see them.
