According to new releases page on the Model Airplane International website, Richard Franks says the £12.99 price tag, and the fact no one at the London toyfair could confirm otherwise, suggests the Lightning F6 would be a new tool. Although the kit on display is the old hasegawa/frog one, they also had a frog Gannet to illustrate their new tool for that!. Fingers cross....

I've gone through the lists on IPMS Deutschland and Prime Portal and can only say "holy jesus h breakdancing christ!".  Is that Typhoon loaded out or what???  If it came from Hasegawa you'd have to buy a dozen weapons sets, lol.

Thats what we were hoping for Mav, When the 48th single seater came out we were hoping they would do the same weapons fit in the 1/72 version. The Twin seater released a few years ago managed to include the Meteors but missed the ASRAAM's. The 1/72 Single seater now looks to have the ASRAAM in together with the IRIS-T and KEPD missiles that have never appeared in this scale before, plus of course a new set of StormShadows. The only thing missing that i would have liked to have seen would have been the Brimstone & Aminger missiles.

Hopefully Revell have moulded the weapons on a seperate sprue without Thphoon parts so thay could consider doing a reboxed Tornado with the current markings and missiles as the current versions reflect last 90's aircraft.

The list and sprue shots from Hobby-Boss indicate a large number of interesting 1/72 subjects, a full family of A-7 Corsiars including the two seaters is a nice touch as is the NAW A-10 especially. Sprue shots on the IPMS Germany site appear to show some rather nicely detailed sprues for the Helicopters so hopefullt the aircraft will be to a similar standard.

Love the MPM/Special Hobby list of British aircraft although still no Scimitar F1 and god knows if and when some of these will actually be released (still no sign of the Vatour announced last year or the Mojave helicopter of a couple of years ago). The Canberra i slikely to appear sooner rather than later due to the loose association with Classic Airframes, but i fear the Sea Harrier FA2 may be some years away.

I just noticed the photo of the Typhoon. Sweet!

There are some seriously good kits listed there.

thats easy to fix, just raid any yank attack helo kit with Hellfires, the differances are mainly internal...mate of mine was working on Brimstone before he cracked up and quit marconies
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

some of the best looking 1/72 hellfires [aka brimstone] are in italeri's RAH-66
comanche kit, with the ones in their AH-64D Apache Longbow good but not quite as
good.

hellfires have appeared in various 1/72 kits down the years but to my knowledge
NOT in any of the various weapons sets kits.

That doesn't cost $200?
Yes, but it's Hobby Crap...

Revell has said it's the Hasegawa/Frog kit.  End of story.  And still waiting for the MPM F.3!

QuoteRevell has said it's the Hasegawa/Frog kit.
Revell have also said its a new tool....

Like Lee says, 14 quid for a Frog re-boxing is just stupid.  Hell, their 1/72 new tool Typhoon is £13 (but can be had cheaper), their new tool 1/48 Typhoon is only £15!!!

If its the Hasegawa kit is being reboxed for £14, then expect it to sit on the shelves for a looooong time.

Too much contradictory information atm.

Well the picture shows it to be the Frog/Hasegawa F6 - I'd recognise it anywhere. Nice to see XR770 covered though!
