Special 'what-if?' Award Ipms-seattle Spring Show

I have decided to sponsor a Special 'What-If?' Award at the IPMS-Seattle Spring Show in April of this year. The selection process will be weighted in favour of back-story and concept, true 'What-If?' modelling as opposed to the usual IPMS 'Flights of Fancy' catch-all category.
This is a special award separate from the normal judging process.

So I encourage any of the Portland, OR to B.C. whiffers who may be inclined to show up to bring their plastic wonderment to the show.

Nice move Jon as it neatly highlights the other aspect of what-if with the almost weres as opposed to the flights of fantasy which tends to favour the Sci-fi aspect more.

So will you be doing the judging then as if covers more than the usual technical aspects of the modelling by including its mythos as well ?

it is a very good idea, ok so maybe aircraft will be in the front running for this,
but hopefully the AFV and ship modellers will have a go too.

Hey Jon, I don't know if the WHIFSIG and HARSIG travelling show will make it to Seattle this year but if I do go we will have to hook up.....

You going to make it to the Nats this year?  We are trying to organize a family vacation around it.  Give the rest of them something to do while I take pics and hit the vendors.
