Well an extension has been requested and I'd love to offer a full week, but since the Annual One Week Group Build is set to kick off on August 25th, that limits the timeframe a bit. So you've now got until 11:59 P.M. Saturday August 18th (in your respective timezone) to post pics of your completed entries Here. Voting will begin on Sunday, August 19th and the winner will be announced Saturday, August 25th! Hopefully this will give everyone time to get their entries completed.

Good luck to all and thanks for participating!

Thanks Bri!  Already got the first coat on of the new paint layer after sanding it back, washing with soap & water then rubbing down with some white spirit to make sure the grease is totally removed, went on a lot better this time.  I'll try my hardest to make the new deadline, hopefully (fingers crossed) I'll get there!

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Brian da Basher

I know you can do it Mossie! Anyone that loves "Jaws" as much as you do is definitely up to the challenge!

Go, Mossie, go!!!

Brian da Basher

P.S. Remember folks, voting doesn't open until Sunday, August 19th and the winners will be announced on Friday, August 24th, so get those entries in!

Mossie

I'm determined, but that coat hasn't dried yet & it'll take another two to cover at least, then there's another colour to go on top.  It's times like this I wish I used acrylics!

Hmm, looks like I've missed the (extemded) deadline.  I've realised the problem wasn't grease, but trying to overcoat the Halfords Appliance White I used for the base coat (the underside will be white).  It's a great white finish, but it's quite glossy & dosen't take other paints (at least the Humbrol enamels I used) very well.  The second colour didn't take either.  I should have it finished very soon & I promise to post the pics, if not be elligible for voting!

Awww bummer! I'm sorry you weren't able to finish on time but I definitely encourage you to post pics of your project when you get it done. Knowing your skill and talent, it will be a treat to see what you came up with! Please don't forget to vote and help us pick the winners and thank you for participating!

D'OH!  I gotta start reading the whole post.  I thought I had until Saturday the 25th to get my build in.  Oops.

Eh, it's summer, and I'm lucky if I remember what day it is.   :drink:

Yes! If you want to vote, please PM me your top three choices. I'll be announcing the winners sometime Saturday, assuming I can count all the votes in time.
