Might make a good armor Whiff GB.
What would a M-113 look like in your local Police markings? SWAT, Rescue, Highway Patrol, Fish & Game.

Think about it.

A CMPD SWAT M113 would probably have the cupola for the commander and ACAV shields.

How about Fire Dpt for fires in industrial areas with danger of explosions, with special sealing of crew compartment and air filtration with a water cannon or foam projector on the top. Then add a Dozer blade for clearing wreckage. or maybe as a mobile forest fire shelter. and dont forget the DPW add a Snowplow :P  :dum:

One of NASA's M113's, used for shuttle crew evacuation from the launch pad at Kennedy. Been on my "Absolutely Must Do" list for ages.

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

A couple years ago I was doing security at a sheriffs convention.I saw the black M-113 from Ohio pictured in the link above.Had it chained down on a flatbed. Also,my local police dept has two of the old Cadillac Gage Rangers out back. These are the old boxy APCs that the USAF used for security of airfields and missile silos. One is green, the other brown. No markings have been added and I assume they probbley are either on a to-do list or are still that way due to limited budget/no real need for them.

Only the odd armoured vehicle in a Police Force?  Back in the Bad Old Days

we used to have a 'mechanised' constabulary in the UK.  Now of course they just blend in to the beautiful Irish landscape :)

Anyone remembers that stolen T-34 in Budapest couple of months ago?

So, to stop such future "endavors", police forces around the world need a solution: MBTs!

Main gun with sabots/rubber HESH and coax water cannon?
Baldrick: I followed Mr Da Vinci's instructions to the letter.
Blackadder: Even though you can't actually read.
Baldrick: No, but I have done a lot of Airfix models in my time.
