I could say that this photo was taken after his arrival at Croydon in 1920. But, you know it's a model!
Avro Baby :1/48 Ladndad paper models.

Archibald

Yep, that's nice! (Carton miam !!!   )
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Brian da Basher

Wow Glenn absolutely stunning! I think cardboard really captures the linen look of early biplanes perfectly! What a sweet diorama. Two thumbs up!

Will die without understanding this world.

Glenn, that is awesome! I'd be hard pressed to tell that is a paper model if you didn't mention it. Nice composition of the photo too :)

Glenn, wonderful job as always. Wouldn't believe it was cardboard if you didn't say so.

Glen I love it - I'll have to send one of your photo's (the Avro Baby was it) to my local rag (The Croydon Advertiser) for April 1st and see what happens  :P

As an aside there's a very nice little museum in the old control tower at Croydon Airport that was. You have to check out opening times but does give you a feel for the thrilling early days of organised civil aviation and where it to all intents and purposes started

The area around it hasn't changed to much since the 30's. (according to my old Dad)Still the old factory buildings and a lot of open space

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Beautiful, Glenn!!
