Painting! Woo!

Yep, got to painting a subject. I think I might be turning a corner here. Might just get some stuff done...


So here I present my Canadian Forces Bronco CAS aircraft:



Academy OV-10D. Only mods on this (other than cribbing the pilots from the TSR.2) consisted of flipping the nacelle faces upside-down to simulate PT-6 engines (replacing the Garrett engines on the original) and matching diffusers covering where the exhausts would be. Still working on it. Mavericks or Hellfires on the wing pylons -- haven't decided yet. 2.75" and Zuni pods on the stubs, fuel tank on the centerline. Decals will be cribbed from an Italeri Griffon kit.

    Love those craft, something about the twin boom thing, looking forward to seeing this one loaded out!

Lookin' good, I like the inverted engine nacelles. Doesn't it feel good when you feel like you've actually made progress. I'm hoping to get some modelling time in this weekend.

So what colours are on this thing?  And is this the one you picked up at Hobby Lobby the day we got together?

For a PT6 installation, you need to show the forward exhausts and extend the diffusers to surround them.
