BlackOps

OK, after two months give or take of no modeling time I've finally got some projects in motion again.

My 1/72 Italeri Spitfire is back on the bench after sitting for a while and getting a little banged up while having other stuff piled on top of it DOH!  :dum:

For those who remember that far back this is my intended paint scheme for the spitfire, not sure how I'm going to pull it off but I'm going to try.

Next up is a 1/44 Mig-29 by Dragon

The mig will be joining the Confederate Air Force similar to this.

Also on the bench is a Zvezda 1:350 k-19 russian sub that I have no idea what  I'm going to do with, but I just wanted to build a sub and it was cheap :)

That K-19 looks like a Type XXX nazi ship, patrolling secret access to Antarctica base in late 40s.... ^_^

Some real potential in these.  Now, here's hoping that Life grants you the requisite time to pursue them all!

That Crusader Spitfire is just insanely beautiful yet wicked at the same time!
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Thank you Gents :)  It actually feels pretty good to be back in the saddle!

Gunfighter, I like your idea, I may very well head in that direction :)

I believe the soviets got the idea of submarines shaped like this, from the german type XXI subs ;)

Yep, indeed, the Type XXI is considered the father of all modern submarines, west and east.
This Type XXX is some kind of beast, developed and built in underground facilities in Neuschwabenland, where most of nazi elite evaded after the Reich collapse in 1945. Since Operation Highjump in 1947, the 4th Reich command in staff decided to ensure that no foreign force would even get close to the new centre of the empire, so 10 of the new Type XXX are dutied with combat patrols along the southern Atlantic. Type XXX is equiped with state of the art radar, has provision for five foo-fighters in its hangar (moder armies call these flying objects UAVs), and has a wind cannon for anti-aircraft purpouses. Top speed while submerged almost doubles a class C submarine.
U 1030 is credited with 2 ice-breakers and 4 flying boats downed without even being detected... B)
