GTX, I didn't realised something funny = exhaust of my Navaho come from a
Mig-25. This mean that my model has... Tu-123 engines!!!  :o

This one cost me tons of putty, effort, paper, strong glue but it finnally looks good
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

GTX

The result of East-West Cooperation?  Or perhaps some devious Capitalist spying?

Regads,

Greg
All hail the God of Frustration!!!

Archibald

Or maybe the Soviets shot down a SR-64, reverse enginered it, and obtained the Tu-123  ;)

Paper yum!!!

A long time ago I've atempted to build a full Navaho missile from cardboard and paper. The result was crude, so the thing stayed in mothball for some years. Then, thanks to the spirit of this forum (and some materials send by a member) I thought I could improve the model.

Here's how I build from paper. I make a paper cone for the forward, pointed part of the model. I add a drop tank or a pen for the extreme part.
Main body is two tube of cardboard (yum!!).
Can't remember how I joined the paper cone to it, it was too long time ago.
I also use the best material ever, THIS
(tags ? how do you say in english ? These are tags used for 3.5 "storage disks" )

That's innovation!!!
I like it when unconventional materials are used in modeling. And I like it best when the final product is an unconventional model.

Great work, Archi!!!!

Uncanny, Archibald.

Here I sit, often having difficulties with a styrene model kit!!

Can't imagine how you folks can do what you do with paper and cardboard (yum!) without going insane.
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Quotewithout going insane.
The point is: THEY GO INSANE.

That's why I love this Navaho
