Hi Zac

Let me say too that I like to way you have done the wing to fuselage seam work  on those models.

Thank you Allan, much appreciated.  ^_^

PICS! They were demanded, and thus I shall deliver!

ANTON

Here we can see the humble beginnings of a mammoth task - yellow theatre marks on the cowl, rudder and wingtips of my Fw.190A-8. Seven coats. Yaaaaaaaaay! <_<

Halfway through the yellow. In the background Dora is receiving her new clothes, too.

A nicely-done rudder. Gosh I hate yellow....if only the Luftwaffe hadn't made it look so gosh-darned good!

If you've read Scott van Aken's review of this puppy at MM then you have a fair idea of what Anton's camo will be like. Scott's build is, prior to this, the sole aircraft I have seen with this scheme.

DORA

The camo goes on. Tamiya's JA Green and Dark Green, a match made in heaven. The pattern's a tad speculative as the only image I have of this particular D-9 is a profile, and that's it.

The canopies of both FWs have been masked with carefully-cut Tamiya tape to ensure a nice, sharp panel line. The mottling was done with a medium brush who looks to be getting past his prime.

This morning Dora has been completed and an air-to-air photoshoot undertaken, and Anton is about to receive mottling and then decals. An air-to-air sortie will be undertaken with him as well, and then I'll snap some pics of them together. Huzzah and woo!

Zac

A little tip I learned on Hyperscale re yellow--first paint on a light coat of light blue and then the yellow.

You're making excellent progress Zac! You're a regulary Kiwi Whiff factory! I can't wait to see more on these sweet Doras!
