That Design 75 looks a little like the Curtiss XP-87:

Actually, I think a turbo prop would make more "sense" - a twin jet Tigercat would have pretty short legs, even with the wingtip tanks. The IL-28 nacelles are handy because they also include the main landing gear.

I can't think of any good cheap, turboprop donor kits, though.

I can't think of any cheap turboprop donor kits either - but using the IL-28 nacelles and Wyvern props would work.  The other alternative would be to scratch-up a set of "Trent-Meteor" props.  Both approaches would, IMHO, work nicely with that nacelle.

     I have an old P-3 kit I plan to use the engines & props off of for a Turbo Tiger & a couple of other things. I would think the old Airfix/MPC C-130 could be found pretty cheap, if you want that kind of cowling. A cheap source for two TPs, if you want RR Darts would be the Handley Page Dart Herald kit from some European maker. It's the old Frog kit. I've considered them, but I just like the look of the Allison in the P-3 type cowling. I used old Airfix C-130 engines & props for my A-26 Turbo Invader & Turbo Skyraider (C-130 for USAF A-1K(H/J) & P-3 for USN A-1L(E)). Maybe an older Hasegawa Shin-Miewa could be gotten cheap enough as well. It uses GEs, IIRC.

Of the three that you mentioned, the Handley Page Dart Herald is the cheapest. That kit has plenty of whiffiness to it, too!
