Yes, nice models, nice 'what ifs' but again we have unessecary critisism of old kits. The Frog Uhu dates from the early 1970s for heavens sake! The Ar234 to 1976, I remeber it coming out. Of course it is basic. Look at the price. If it wasn't for Frog then these what ifs wouldn't exist. A lot of us wouldn't have had a grounding in building models because all the Hasegawa etc stuff is very accurate but very expensive.

I really like the He-219G-5/RT on the same site.

Hey Guys!

Thanks for noticing these kits of mine!

I remember posting links to them back in the day, but it's been a while now.

I've got a couple other Whifs on there, including my twins, the Fi-203 and Fw-380.

What did you have to search on Google to find these things?

On another note: I criticize the old kits, because they quite simply suck. I know back in the day they might have been alright, but contexts change with time.

There's no point in singing the praises of these kits in comparison to what's available today. That having been said, I don't hate the kits - I love them. I also agree with the statement made by Monkeyhanger; indeed, if it weren't for these kits, I would never have gotten any better at my craft. Still, that doesn't mean these kits are any better than they are.

Thanks for the kind words though, guys!

By the way: What do you think of the backstories? Do they add anything? I have fun writing them, but I'm wondering if anyone reads them.

Nicely done whif, Mechworker.  It would go nicely with the 1/72 conversion that Unicraft does for s single-turbojet conversion of the Bf-109.

Adam and I once spent the better part of an evening discussing the relative merits of Frog/Novo and VEB kits. And at last year's London IPMS showm we hunted down "strange" kits for each other. One must have appreciation for what came before, you know. Especially when you can't get the subject elsewhere...

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

Hey Rallymodeller!

Good to hear from you again!

Yeah, that was a good time! Of course, even 'relative' merits on NOVO kits are few and far between (nice newsprint boxes, though...).

We'll have to pull the 'weird kit scavenger hunt' again this year during the show. You gonna make it down for that?
