Hi folks,

I note the following message comes up when trying to get into Secret Projects:

"Site is temporarily suspended pending ongoing legal discussions with Ian Allan Publishing Limited.
All posts and data are safely stored and hopefully once the legal issues are sorted out the forum will reopen."

Any news on what's happened/happening?

Regards,

Greg

I've been contacted by Ian Allan Publishing regarding copyright infringement. No further details at present, but I've suspended the site until I get clarification of what the problem is.

Well, shoot!

Taking a brief look at their site, it looks like some hyperactive (censored)-nut lawyer may be taking issue with some pics on the site.  At least that's the feeling I get from looking at their site, with what's on it, and knowing what's on your site.

(censored) (censored) (censored) (censored) lawyers!!!

Why, yes, I have an issue with (censored)holes who spent years memorizing books instead of applying their talents and skills to useful things (like engineering), why do you ask?

Great, I've pissed myself off...  Frakking useless lawyers.
I exist to pi$$ others off!!!

Sorry to hear the news paul.

A heads up to the rest of us I think.

Most of the big publishing names patrol the web these days looking for copy right infringments. The laws on copyright vary from country to country but common sence should help prevent any one from this site falling foul of some one elses copy right ownership.
Telling some one that what their looking for is in a certain book or magazine is fine, but qouteing chapter and verse or posting a scan of a page or pages can get you and the site into a ton of trouble if the copy right holder happens to find whats been posted and belives their copy right has been infringed.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

There's most interesting ways of losing money and time  <_<

It reminds what happen with music. Napster, E-mule, You tube, Radioblog...

Radioblog is a fabulous website when you can HEAR music for free (not downloading it !!)
Same thing happened the other day : it closed some days because of
Quotesome hyperactive (censored)-nut lawyer

The truth is, the web raised coyright problems never seen before
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.
