Well tonight I started "advance engineering" my project for this GB. After a ten week hiatus, I finally feel like building again!

The base kit for my build is the wonderful 1/72 Academy P-40B.

I'm still trying to sort out the markings and paint scheme, but I have a pretty good idea what direction I'm headed with it. I'm going to keep you all in suspense, but I can divulge that it will have lots of guns and, oh yes, spats!

Did I mention that I love spats?

All-RIGHT!

SPATMAN RETURNS!

WOO!

The more P-40s the better - we wouldn't want any one person taking out ALL the honours, would we now?  :P

A retro curtiss with spats...too cool for school.  Was watching a show yesterday on Curtiss, turns out he was the inspiration for the Tom Swift series of books...kind of neat, no?

Here's an update: All construction is completed except for attaching the canopy. I've started painting and hope to have my "secret P-40 project" completed in a few days. She's quite heavily armed, boasting no less than 10 machine guns and two wing-root cannons.

Stay tuned.

I finished painting this bird and now just have to sort out and apply the markings.

I'm still making up my mind between a couple of different options.

Pictures, pictures!!!! :D
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
