Thanks,

You can't see it in the photos, but there's significant dihedral on the tailplane  to take it out of the efflux. I now have to finish the u/c doors, paint job and decals with the traditional RAF yellow P in a circle.

As long as the pilot doesn't engage the afterburner, everything should be fine.

....what's that smell in the back of the plane, Captain?...

UUUuuumm, I love cardboard (Cardboard, Yum!!!)
OK, I know I can't stop scratchbuilding. Someday, I will build something OOB....

Coming along real nice.  Always love to see a taildragger jet, just looks so cool.

Jumos didn't have 'burners, Rafa, so he's safe there, just hope the engines were a bit better built than some of Willy's stuff late war, otherwise instant toothpicks!

Very nice idea, and I like the execution too.

By the way, I don't know what your backstory is for it having jumo's, but you could also say they are Metrovick Beryl's too, the Meteor flew with these in a very similar installation to how the underslung jumo's looked.

She looks every bit the winner, Bluesteel! I can't wait to see this one completed!

Would be a nice way to confuse a german pilot ;) Make him think you are crashing, then hurry up behind him when he is going home :P

The Mosjet creeps close toward completion. Pilot Sqn Ldr Gerald "Jumpy" Prang is installed as the test pilot, resplendent in his all white RAF VR flying overalls (can hardly see him because of the camera flash). No awaiting the Yellow Ps before completing the touch up of paintwork and satin covering:

Simply stunning, Bluesteel! This is one of my favorite Mosquito bashes! Those markings look great against the camo and yellow prototype undersides!

Cheers!

The engine installation and particularly the wheel wells were quite a problem to hack out and rebuild.

If I did another one I think I'd go about it another way. But I'm reasonably pleased with the result.

Now I have to work out what I'm going to do with two spare Merlin engines in Mosquito nacelles...

BlackOps

It really does look quite natural with jet engines. Nicely done :)
