Seeing as most 1930's aircraft had fuselage mounted guns, you could fit the standard pair of .50's above the nose, with a .30 in each wing.

As for armament, I removed the existing armament as I had plans to do a reconnaissance variant, I still may. Now I'm thinking more along the lines of two 20mm cannons in the wings. Or maybe something a little different, Sky Captain/Crimson Skies-ish like aerial torpedoes for knocking down those pesky zeppelins! ^_^
