Even through fog, you can see
aircraft's air brakes
flare/chaff dispensers
torpedo's braking device

20th June 1982, dawn over south Atlantic ocean.
Capitán Cienfuegos and Comandante Juantorena's Shturmoviks on their road to the British task force, as seen from the refueling-pod camera of Cpt Alonza Cafebar MiG-27...
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Archie, that is wonderful.    :salute:

I'm glad you enjoy it Carlos, it was an homenaje to your outstanding work.

Making this kind of shot is not too difficult... I've modified one of your picture with
MS Paint (using the airbrush thing to mask some details which showed that it is a model, such as its shadow, its pylon and others things like that.
I've also cut, pasted and shrinked the photo itself to have this second aircraft on the background).

Then I've taken a shot of my computer screen with a digital camera (sounds strange, but it works well) to obtain the peculiar, sepia tone of the pic... then another round of MS Paint to cut every sight of the screen frame on the photo, et voila!!

Allez, another one, this time its a color shot  ;)

35 000 fts above South Atlantic waters, Cpt Juantorena aircraft is seen over the clouds...

I was thinking to prepare some action images for this thead, like a comic, but I did not find time and, perhaps, courage. Nice job Archie, really

Great build and terrific pictures  :salute:
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'm myself surprised of the result you know  ;)  I'll probably prepare others shots soon...

Carlos, great job on the build. An excellent idea wonderfully executed, it is amazing how easily some modelers can go from building WWII subjects to modern jets.

Archie, great job with the "fake" photos as well.
