A pair of 183's in search of the 'white eyes'!

Of the two 183's, the one at the back, (wing man) is 1/72 Pioneer 2, and the lead ship, is a 1/48th AMTECK...This is the first shot of 4 that I will take to finish this 1/48th model.

Very cool Glenn!  Love the photowork too !  On a side note, don't forget the missiles had wooden wings ( I know, I sound a like a friggin jmn). Of course, in Luft 46, maybe they would have started making them with metal ones? Who knows !

Lovely images.

BlackOps

Glenn, these are beautiful    Very nice builds, and as usual very nice photo editing

Nice work, both models and pics.

I see the two 183's are from different staffels (color of numbers). I suppose some P-80's got in and reduced the staffels' numbers so they had to combine!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

A week later, this aircraft was forced down with mechanical problems behind enemy lines. Landing on a USAAF base, just south of Nancy  giving the Allies a chance to evaluate this new acquisition. Seen here with a P-80 'chase plane'.
Date : August 16th 1947

USAAF negative : 47/0976.

PS....P-80.. how did you know?

One last shot for a while.
