This one might be fun. I've got something in the stash that might look good in an early U.S.A.F. scheme.

Whomever is co-ordinating things (Nick?) until a moderator volunteers/is chosen, drop me a PM with the number of folks who've expressed interest. In fact, it might be a good idea to take a more recent roll-call to find out. Assuming there's enough to make it worthwhile (between 8-10 minimum), I can set up the GB Topic etc.

Brian da Basher

P.S. Typically, the GB moderator makes judgement calls on whether an entry meets the GB criteria and also counts the votes to determine a winner. Winners in GBs around here are usually chosen by vote of the Forum members.

ok i up for it.

a new fighter on the way
Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest.
Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for!!!

NARSES2

I'm up for it - the early years just fit in to my interests

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'll throw my hat into the ring, maybe a "Cavalier" Mustang type project.

You'd probably see an announcement here for starters and then the new GB topic would show under "Current Group Builds".

Can a moderator be a participant and a prize donor?
Will die without understanding this world.

Do ANG count as well?  Or AF Reserve?

Happens all the time, ysi! I'm all three over in the I Love P-40s! GB.

Brian da Basher

P.S. I'd think ANG and reserve builds would be eligible too. Still waiting to see someone post rules, etc.

Nick

Rough outline of rules......

Starting date is July 4th 2007. If you are celebrating then we'll let you start on July 5th or 6th!!!

Any US Air Force, AF Reserve or Air National Guard unit markings can be used.
Special markings (airshow style paintjobs etc) can be used as long as you provide a good reason/backstory.
Any aircraft for the timeframe of 1947 till the current day can be used.
A good, reasonable backstory is a good idea.

Entries must be completed by September 18th 2007. You may build as many as you like but not too many!

Winners will chosen after a vote by forum members. Prizes may appear but don't hold your breath!
Contributions of prizes will be gratefully accepted. Help with moderating will definitely be accepted!

Any other thoughts?

Shasper

OK! The official Group Build Forum is now set up, so head on down to the USAF 60th Anniversary Group Build pages and join in the fun!

Moderators are myself, Shasper and ysi-maniac.
Thanks to Brian for setting the pages up.
