Well, here we are, less than 36 hours left, and I not only found my builds, I assembled them, and am waiting for them to set up so I can start a marathon painting session.

No pics yet, but the AV-8B and the F-107 are together finally.

Nothing like waiting till the last minute to get you going...

Wheeee!!!  I forgot what a marathon build was like.  Planes all painted, and the one is ready for decals (the F-107).  The AV-8B had an unfortunate accident with the paint, and is lagging behind by about an hour (needs to dry now).

Should have pics within the hour.

HI-HO, TOVARISH!!!!!   AWAY (with the decadent Western ways)!!!

About 30 hours on, and done!  I took a couple months off from modeling for various personal reasons (including this little guy), but thanks to 95 degree days, and the basement being just so cool, I got back into building.

First up is the F-107A I got from Jon.  You can't really tell from the pics, but it is actually a rather good looking model in real life.  I picked up a new digital camera about three weeks ago, and I have no idea how to work the danged thing for close-ups yet (it's a Casio Exlim Ex-75BK, bought for portability and the simple fact it was better than my old one).

I did it up as a 107th TFS, from the 127th TFW out of Selfridge ANGB.  I almost did it in the grey A-7 scheme that the ANG had their planes in, but I thought the F-107 wouldn't make it that long in service (late 80's).

Next is the Hasegawa 1/72 AV-8B Greg sent me.  There were a few different ways I could have gone with this, but in the end, I decided to go with a USN Aggressor aircraft, assigned to VFC-12 (decals from the Aggressor F/A-18 Hasegawa put out).  I did it up in the F-16N scheme that I like.  This thing looks pretty dang cool next to the FX-29 I did over the Winter.

(AHA!  One of them came out...  I have no idea how, though)

I WILL learn how to use this camera yet!

Fun GB, all 30 hours of it

Some damm fine looking aircraft there Anthony. Nicely done. Oh, that bundle of fur looks like an amazing addition to your family. I hope he gives you years of friendship.

If Baby-Bud is anything like his uncle Shepard, he's gonna be a great dog (and this week, he demonstrated he's definitely his uncle's nephew (fireworks are apparently scary to Michigan Half-amutes  B)  )

Like I said, I need to figure out yet another camera.  Funny thing about the builds are they were each photographed within five minutes of the last decal being applied.
