this is gonna be more of a semi-whiff model (as belgium ordered the NH90 on 25 June 2007).

the model is a 1/72 revell NH90 (TTH rebox 2007), decals are from DACO (roundels) and the rest will be custom made. compared to other models i build, this one wont be done in 1,2 or 3 days, it is gonna take a while as i want to make this kit as detailed as possible.

this will be the color sheme i might apply, was gonna go for the current seaking camo, but that would not fit the NH90 to good  B)

i will post the first cockpit pics when its finished  B)

Sounds like she's gonna be a real beauty. I agree with you about the Sea King camo, While it's gotta be the nicest looking helicopter out there, the camo just doesn't seem to fit in the modern era. Maybe trade the grey on yours for a green ? Like the RAFs Merlins ?

Strange, i just completed that kit, non-whiff. Excellent kit   Revell at its best ;)

ok, its time to bump this topic back to life with a small update,

i have continued to make some sub-assemblies, the cargobay has recieved its seats, the inside of the cargo (not vissible) has been painted in a light grey color. the nose has been painted in dayglo, i decided to drop the red  ;)
furthermore, a crew will be added, on the pic below, you can see 2 pilots (from a mastercraft AH-1G) and a flight engineer (from a heller seaking kit), the diver and a medic will be added soon, there will be no navigator/sarso on board as the NH90 doesnt require one.

the nose recieved a first layer of dayglo orange paint, some parts of the fuselage also recieved some dark grey paint, just to see how it comes out. the rear cargodoor will be closed, just to give it a more pre-takeoff look. however there is still a lot of work to be done.  B)
