Hello All,

It is a while since I've posted a picture, so I hope the one I wanted is actually on display!

I have a few 1/72 Airfix boats and thought "What if the torpedoes were replaced with missiles". The attached image (I hope) is the Vosper MTB. The hull is still fitting out so any suggestions would be welcome. I'm not happy with retaining the original mast and the missile pods are rather small. I would have liked to replace the twin 20mm gubs with a missile system, but I lack the skill.
If this is Upper Silesia, one can only wonder what Lower Silesia is like.

That's pretty interesting! It looks rather Russian. :)

To replace the 20mms, what about using a turret from a 1:72 AFV? Depending on the timeframe, you could use a Scorpion/Scimitar/Warrior turret etc, or scratch up a Swingfire/Rapier/etc launcher.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

Or you could modernise the gun mounting and have a pedestal-mounted MANPADS aft. A lot of modern remote weapon stations are also marketed for naval use.....

The Mollins auto-loading conversion 6 pdr mount was used on the Vosper MTBs:

The mount weighed 1.719 tons (1,747 kg) so you can put some weight forward, however one needs to bear in mind that
too heavy a turret mounted forward on a small, high-speed craft is asking for trouble.  ;D
