Is the similarity to the present day AAV-7 deliberate or accidental?

hi all
thanks for the comments!
about the interrior...I was thinking about and the hull was designed to make one but...in the early stage I was not happy with the overall result and was apt to stop the work and scrap the hull plates for another projects...
and after the side sponsons are made I wanted a quick progress and decided to continue without it and promised to myself the next one will have a complete and feasible interrior :salute:
about the "accidental" resemblance to AAV...
look at AAV again and you will see a marginal analogy but when you are comparing any voluminous swimming vehicle with a conventional running gear (and not the circumferential type from WW2 LVT) so the ponton formed body is everytime self-evident...
in principle its like the evolution!...we need to teach the Higgins-boat to go ashore ...or not?
...and by the way...why to reinvent the wheel twice? B)

best regards
