cool piccies. the rig looks huge without  the legs and pontoons being 90 feet in the water and rogue waves knocking you out of bed.

Wow, nice selection.  What's with all the foreign Hercs & transalls in Canuckistan?

Dig the USCG C-130, and that smart S-92.

Thanks Nevster and Kurly. The Transalls always seem to be there. The French must have some planes at Goose Bay ? The Belgians always seem to be here as well. The Yanks use the base as a stopover whilst heading overseas, so there's usually a few of them around.

For the non-Canadians, this is coming from a guy who lives in Sarnia, where your daily ration of air is served in slices.

Nice shots Toad, love that DC-8!

Captain Canada

Are you trying to say that my smog is smoggier than your smog ?

:P

Ya, the -8 is one sweet looking bird. A proper looking aeroplane, if you ask me ! I'd love to see one take off and land. Last time I was there, there was a DHL DC, but I didn't have my camera.....

That Transall is Luftwaffe - don't they have a permanent detachtment of Tonkas @ Goose Bay now?  Not to mention all their flying training in New Mexico.

That RAF herk is a spec ops one based on the colour scheme
