Just in case you don't get over to the U.S.A.F. 60th Anniversary group build, here's some teaser shots of my entry, the Republic K-44 Cyclone which I scale-o-rama'ed from a vacuform 1/72 F-84 Thunderjet.

Enjoy!

There's an interesting whiffing!   Very much in the style of the day.

Now, there was a bomber, 4 jets, underwing, somewhere in the 40s or 50s of the B- line...    My memory is going.

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

The top part was simply a piece of clear plastic I bent and trimmed to fit. The nose was smash-formed. I took a piece of clear plastic and held it over a candle until it was soft and then smashed it down on a pointed mold (the top of a lava lamp). Then I trimmed it carefully and attached it with copious amounts of white glue.

I'm glad you like my litte AWACS. :)

Like a North America B-45 Tornado?

I talk about that in the backstory. Enjoy!
