Y'know how you'd dip a canopy in Future/Klear/Whatever, you leave it out to dry, only to come back with a speck of dust or lint embedded in it?  Well fear no more!  I've found that you could use those containers that spools of CDs come in, line the bottom with tissue paper (to wick away access fluid,) put said canopy in and cover up!

Since I build 1/72 scale (almost exclusively), all I do is dip the part in Future and place it on a folded paper towel, then an upside down custard cup is placed over the part. B)

Ah yeah, that'll work.  Same time, basically.  Mine's just more dramatic

don't forget to let the future/klear drain off first mind before you place it down to dry.

i haven't broken a canopy yet but have had to lever off clear parts from workmats.

Sounds like a good idea, I have no shortage of CD spools (we go through bunches at work). Heck it might be a good way to keep me from bumping into sub assemblies while they dry too.

Another cheap solution to your dust free mini-environment is to look no further than your local supermarket bakery or the produce section.  Both of which are full of larger transparent containers that come with salads or pastries and cakes inside.  While the salads are much healthier for you, don't rule out the pastries as they can be dispensed with at work so you won't feel guilty by not eating them alone, make your co-workers suffer for your vices as well.  In the end, you have a nice container with a flat surface and a transparent cover under which you can place several sub-assemblies to allow drying without the interference of dust particles.

It is a win-win situation for all.

I've found the best way to get rid of the excess future is to give it a quick shake to have the droplets fall off, then touch a corner to some tissue paper and allow the excess to be wicked off. Works for me anyway.

Supertom:  damp down tissue first, reduces dust (from tisue) getting blown around.
