Oh thats pretty...To me it looks more like a Jet engined Vickers Viscount though.

I had wondered about that on the BAe 146 too,  I would have thought two slightly bigger engines would have done the trick.

There has been a proposal for a BAe-146 with two CFM-56 engines.

The Japanese probably went with 4 engines for reliability.
