That totally rocks the house, Harro! I'm bowled over by your use of "found objects" and iut really looks like a "should've been" Sharp as a tack!!

Thanks! I really enjoyed this build.
It's been a nice change of pace: I usually plan my projects in detail, then obsess over the execution of every step endlessly. This time, I decided to do 'whatever it takes' to get the build finished on time, with just one priority: showing my ideas for a Piston Perfection aircraft. This meant dispensing with the endless PSR, no landing gear and no complex camo scheme. It's good to finish a project in just 6 weeks for once.
My initial idea was to use a Westland Whirlwind, but I couldn't get that to work with the new engines I had in mind. The props determined the engine nacelle diameter, which turned out to be larger than the Whirlwind fuselage, and the whole thing just looked weird. So, some scrounging turned up the Tigercat and the rest is history.

A really imaginative and impressive build!

Really nice! Turboprop fighters are cool!

Yes, but you'll notice this was no turboprop  ;D

This is one of those terrific concepts that make me sit back and truly appreciate that this site exists and that modelers like you are kind enough to take pics of your work and share.

In other words:  drool,   more drool!
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

All hail the God of Frustration!!!

That looks ungodily fast! I love how the back end of the nacelles look!
