here is my academy bearcat build in few free hours I had during plotting the architectural plans.
it was completed to this stage during one night.ca.6-7 hours
some parts like the aircoolers and undercarriage flaps are new made
the cowling opening is widened and the legs are shortened.otherwise no changes.
the engine is a self casted part.the flaps are simplified because the other one on deck will have folded wings and will be the eye catcher....hopefully:)
its the -1 version.at this time its primed with the new testors acrylics (very very good effect!!!) and the decal option will be the corsairIV markings from late in the war.
not the standard RN markings but the c-1 roundels overpainted with white.
any idea about markings could be used during the operation Olympic?(invasion of japan)
yellow cowling? or better yellow strips like these white/black used during op.Overlord?
best regards

philp

Looks nice and I don't care how you paint it as long as you don't do a Korean War bird like I am doing in 72nd.

I like the Invasion markings idea actually.
