The Nasty On Deep Throat

Ok guys, first off the end product is not 100% accurate (but since when did that matter?   ), but it's got the "look".

For one of my 1WGB projects I needed to come up with a 1/100 scale GBU-28 "Deep Throat". Problem is no such critter exists, so after getting some coconuts together I scrounged up what I think would work: A 1/100 LGB from a Testors F-16 kit, and a Isracast 1/32 Python-3 missile body.



After making some good eye-ball measurements I started the cutting:



Then I double checked my EBM against a pic of the real thing:



After making the necessary adjustments, I sanded & CAed the fore & aft fittings onto the body, aligned the fins using the ol' mk 1 sight, and voila! A doable GBU-28 look-alike.



I with now I had something that had more thickness to it, but overall I'm content with the outcome. After the CA sits all night, I'll do any PSR thats needed before primer & paint.
