Thanks for the comments everyone. Hoping to make more progress this weekend.

Quotewhat exactly are the 2 colours?
The RAN Skyhawk colors (according to the Hawkeye Models sheet) are aircraft grey [FS16187/BS-381C-693] and light admiralty grey [FS15414/BS-381C-697], but I just used some colors from the stash that looked close. In this case, the camo is Tamiya Light Grey [XF-66] and Light Blue [XF-23], both lightened to taste with flat white. The radome is Medium Grey [XF-20].

Thanks for the colour info  David.

Finally got around to decaling. RAN roundels and squadron markings are from a Hawkeye A-4 sheet, various stencils from a CAM Tomcat sheet. The roundels technically are supposed to be applied over a white disc, but none of my sheets had any that fit the smaller roundel. I like the look of the two color roundel anyway, kind of low-viz (I did the same thing on my RNZAF EF-2000 a couple of years ago).

I like your combo of colors for the camo. The metal surfaces on the tail are very eye catching. Looks great! B)

Forgot to add, the way you've done those roundels is bloody great. Much better than the normal 2 tone grey ones you normally see as low viz.

Damn fine looking model mate!

The camo & markings looks great, different enough from any other Phantom.  Looking forward to seeing the weapons on & the masking off!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
