Nice.  What kit?

All it needs now is some weathering and a nice diorama  :tank:

Thanks for the comments It's 1/35 The donor kit was the AFV Club NATO Centurion The resin conversion is Cromwell Models from Scotland The Mk I never saw any service during the war
It was armed with a 17lbr The first 10 had a 20mm coax After that a 7.92mm MG The coax was able to move independently from the main gun

The what-if factor for me anyway is that is was part of XXX Corps on the advance to Arnhem as part of operation Market Garden

I think this tank would have scared the crap out of the Germany army at the time

Here's the Centurion Mark I finished It has markings for the Guards armoured division,Irish Guards RTR for operation Market Garden, the invasion of Holland in 1944

AFV Club NATO Centurion as base kit Cromwell Models resin conversion I think I went a bit overboard on the MIG pigments

Hey......that's only six photos ! We've been robbed !

;)

What a beauty. One of my all time favourite tanks. Nowt wrong with the weathering...just looks dirty ! You might think you've over done it as it's just sitting on the worknench. If it was on a dio base it would blend right in.

Chad,

Just wanted to let you know that I merged your original thread with this thread so you could have some continuity and all of the comments and images would appear under one thread, it makes it all that much better for us to see the progress as well as the finished model.

By the way, nice work as usual!

Good one, Jeffry !

I didn't think they served in WWII. Is the unit a real one as well ? That's something I'd like to know more about, post-war UK tanke units.

The tank itself did not serve during the war

SWEET. thats a great looking afv. not being an AFV nut I wouldn't have known its a whif.

All the best.

Great stuff! B)

As for the weathering, British tanks in the Normandy breakout were VERY dusty - charging along bone dry diry tracks in the height of summer does that ;)
