I bought an Airfix 1/48 Hawk 100 in England two years ago.  When I got it home I was a bit disaapponted with the decals.  They are the really cool Canadian/NATO and Aussie ones, but they were a bit out of register.  Not terribly so to the point of being unusable like some Airfix ones were for a while, but still not great.

Anyway after a bit of prorastination, I finally e-mailed Airfix about the problem.   Four days later they folded.

So, when they rose from the ashes, a Phoenix of the modeling world ready to rip the Chinese styrene sweatshops to shreds with their fiery Britannic talons, I thought I'd mention again that these decals left a bit to be desired.  That was about 6 weeks ago.   Today  I received a new set in the mail, nicely printed and in perfect condition!

Thanks Airfix!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

(old) Airfix always had terrific customer service.  Only problem was, like the time I complained about the badly out of register decals with my 1/72 Jaguar - within a week I received 3 (three) replacement sheets.

All of which were out of register  :banghead:

There's a bit of a discussion on BM right now about the quality of decals from "new" Airfix.
