Some of you will be aware of Skii's incredible modelling from places like ARC & Britmodeller - he's just finished his Airfix TSR2 and outstanding doesn't even begin to describe it.

Well I've just joined the modellers rank, though be it later than most, and that build is what I would see as my final capabilities. Just seeing the quality makes me wonder if I could ever get there.

Oh, it's a beautiful model, alright.....but even a monkey could, well, maybe not a monkey, but any dummy could do just a good a job if they put the time and effort into it. Don't ever sell yourself short, build for your own enjoyment, and be sure to post anything you're working on. You'd be surprised by how much knowledge and encouragement come out of a bunch of internet wierdos !

Cheers !

Yeap fantastic model although to get JMN ish the prominent row of holes below the cockpit is on both sides where in fact there should be none.
This is because its been based on photos of XR220 at RAF Cosford Museum which had during its days as a training airframe for students had both its Pylons fitted  under each wing and its refuelling probe fitted to the port side cockpit. XR219 had the recess panel for for it on the starboard side as well but never had its probe fitted and thus no holes, the only reason they stand out on XR220 was because the probe fit was after cancellation and the mounting holes were refilled with suitable flush pins.

Yeap very JMN ish but if people are using the model as a best example they should really know of the slight flaw
