Using the remainders from build 2, i fitted the front of the halftrack onto the rear of the 4x4 quad tractor. Result was this (quite nice):

Finnished result will be a WWII contemporary of the HUMVEE

Looks like somebody shrank a White M3.

The Israelis mounted turrets on the White M3A1 Scout car in the late 1940s.

Here is an article about converting a 1/35th M3 to the Israeli config.

Update!
Sanded down the whole fuselage, and fitted the roof. I also removed the skirts, seeing as these had been fitted poorly, and kept breaking off. I will fit my own skirts soon, and they will look more in stile with the vehicle. I also fitted the landing gear from the British 4x4 tractor. The trick to fit these correct was to drill a hole in them, about the size of a toothpick. I then fitted the wheels onto the toothpicks with superglue, and superglued the toothpick to the bottom of the car. The result looks "right", and works well. I even managed to fit the wheels so that the 4th wheel is only 0.5 mm over the ground! This will be corrected when i "deflate" the tires, to look like there is weight on them!
