Japanese Navy grey?

Anybody know if Japan still uses IJN grey on their naval aircraft, or have they changed? I have a Tamiya bottle which I'm thinking of using on the Transall gunship. Guess I'll have to find some 1/220th scale meatballs too, but I think markings for a 1/144 fighter might work nicely. So, question #2 - Anybody make a modern Japanese fighter in that scale?

Heya Rat,

On two points, I doubt that IJN grey would still be in use, given the JSDF's preponderance towards US equipment and FS colours.  There might be an FS equivalent to N.7, 8 or 9, but given the scale you're working in, I'd say 'damn the torpedoes'.

For 144th JSDF fighters, I'd give Dragon a look, they've got quite a large selection of 144th kits and I'm sure there'd be F-15s and the like in Japanese service in amongst that lot.

The "I" in IJN is for "imperial".  The JMSDF isn't "imperial" anymore :)  That's a WWII color.
