Just out of curiosity, was the P6M able

  • To fly 1500 to 2000 (mi or nm) with 30,000 pounds of payload
  • To fly 1500 to 2000 (mi or nm) with some specified payload, or carry up to 30,000 pounds of bombs?
[/list]
That being said, I'd like to remind everybody in a manner reminiscent of the SNL bit on Julian Assange, that no matter how I die: It was murder (even if there was a suicide note or a video of me peacefully dying in my sleep); should I be framed for a criminal offense or disappear, you know to blame.

The Piet and Raithel book on the Seamaster doesn't mention range or payload anywhere.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

    Regards

Give it time, man... Give it time!

The way things are going, I'm, beginning to think almost anything is possible in the big scales!

    How long until there's a 1/32 B-36?

HPH are doing a 1/48 Valkyrie so anything is possible. If anyone was going to do it I think it would be them
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Guys,Just Wondering, did the Royal Navy or the RAF Consider Getting the Seamaster if it had Gone into Production? the reason i ask is, that the UK has Always Struck me as Top Notch User of Flying Boats it was a Question that I'd Kept Contained until Now, Just Wondering about that. What Say You? Dan

Well, the RCN and Canadian Coast Guard had a few, pictures are here;D

Had an idea based on this thread to build an AEW version using the 1/72 Anigrand kit with the MasterCaster resin BAe Nimrod AEW conversion and Airwaves ELINT Sky Warrior parts.
As the rear Nimrod radome is circular and the SeaMaster is sort of oblong shaped.
This would be my first all resin kit build.
Fits in with my flying boat/AEW theme.

You might want to start with something smaller for your first all resin kit- unless your wallet is busting at the seams.....those are some pretty expensive kits....

    Good luck!

Having  built a few using the 1/72 Mach2 and only one Anigrand kit along with a vacuum kit which  didn't turn out the way it should have your cockpit canopy a bit ambitious. The engines are very easy to change and so are the wings.
The canopy reminds me of the EB-6.
