I'm going to do a Lockheed CL-282 - the original proposal that led to the U-2. Basically just a Starfighter fuselage with big wings. Paint it flat black with no markings, pose it superimposed over a picture of Groom Lake... :wacko:

I have plans to do a Hase 1/48 F-104G as an RAF machine in NMF with the full-color decals from a Lightning.  I also like the idea of an IDF version.

Couple of other ideas:

Cuban-colorful camo, mid-60s given to Cuba by the US as the Cuban forces reequip after Castro is toppled and a pro-western government is installed.

French-NMF Mirage scheme.

Air Racer-lots of NASCAR/Indy/F1 decals available to make something really different.

Delta-wing-A Monogram 1/48 Mirage 2000 wing looks like it will fit very nicely on a 104
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Oh yeah baby!  And I personally don't think this one has a chance of beating Thrust SSC's record.  Like the most recent incarnation of Spirit of America (which was a gorgeous looking machine itself), the tricycle wheel arrangement will cause it some serious problems.  I think a Brit team should go up against it with a Lightning fuse on wheels...... :ph34r: :lol:
