Do you like 'em hyper-detailed?

Possibly one of the most detailed models I've ever seen in progress.   I can't even imagine how anyone can be so self-disciplined in order to stay this focused for so long on a single subject with this much scratchbuilt detail.

Warning: very graphics-intense----might take awhile if you're on a dial-up connection.

WOW!  That looks really impressive and many congrats on the modeler for doing all that detail.

BUT

Not this boy.  I do have a few 'Holy Grail' projects but nothing as grand as that.

I love hyper detailing.....so long as someone else is doing it! :lol:This and the Helldiver at Swanny's are too cool for school.

Amazing stuff.
Quality work there....but not for me. I'd be bored rigid eventually and lose all interest.
Mind you, having a bash at adding detail to a HobbyBoss cockpit is interesting, and I might start playing with a sci-fi subject soon.

Incredible work, but he better have a clear fuselage in the stash, or no one will see it !

I've been in-touch with Peri through Britmodeller - he's posted this piece of 'Plastic Engineering' there too. He seems to have, not just incredible perseverence, skill and talent but also a genuine knowledge (and love) of the subject. Isn't it inspiring when all of this meets in one project ??

Also
He's very generous with praise and encouragement for others - m'self included.

I asked him how he manages to stay focused for so long at such an intense level on a single subject.
His secret?  He buys one model and builds it to completion and will not purchase another kit until he's done the current one.

Is that crazy or what?????    ;D

Holy sheep dip.  I do admire the guy's skill.  And I have to say, sometimes it's fun to take things to an extreme.  I've never done anything like this, but I did spend a lot of time doing an interior set on a 35th scale Panther.  It was exhausting, and didn't require anything like this level of scratchbuilding.  But when I was done, I still had a good feeling about it, even though 90% of it was hidden.

I've told myself many times, I wouldn't start a new project until I had the current one finished.  I always find an excuse to open that next box early. . .

Whatever scale that is, that guy is fecking insane!  He surely deserves an invite to our party, even if he is building real world stuff.
