Roden 1/48th DI with inspiration from the Hagedorn book (he is the new curator at the Museum of Flight in Seattle BTW)
Chosen scheme will be based on one of these two sections:
1) Mexican Revolutionary Period
2) Chilean Intervention - basically a war between the Army and Navy

What a great idea, Jon! The Junkers D.1 is very ripe for whiffing and seems to be a natural in Central or South America. I'm going to enjoy watching this one!

stunning book, the extra online text is well worth down loading as well. That Junkers is just begging for the south american treatment.

La Cucaracha has come to a standstill due to my coming down with a bug over the weekend, so I haven't done any work since Friday afternoon. The pic shows the current state and the floats from an Eduard Albatros W4 that the D.I will mount to.
Alas it will not be completed by the deadline.
