Hello again

I know its real but the plan was to use Churchill IV as the main vehicle, mark 1 and 2 could also be used and would look good in Italian campaign markings.  Its the hasegawa kit and a modified Airfix trailer.

Beauty. Great job on such a wee little kit. I don't know much about the Croc, so can't comment on any mods to it ot the trailer to make it a prototype. But I can comment on a good job ! Love the weathering....looks rough !

Ooooo, that's realistic.  Even the grass is believable (you could show us how to properly do that).

Weathering is phenomenal.  Can you let us know what you modified on the Airfix trailer (I don't know how it was originally intended to look, either).

And I suppose we're talking 1:72 scale here?  Inconceivable!

That brings up a question: did Airfix ever make their own 1:35 armor?

I don't ever remember any, but Airfix' motto was 'Constant Scale' models

Airfix never released their own 35th range, altho they did have some 32nd scale armour kits.  I do believe they released other companies 35th scale kits under their label, ISTR a Challenger in 35th a couple of years ago.

Thanks for your kind comments, the prototype was tested with a mark 1, theres a couple of photos in the Osprey New Vanguard on the Churchill Crocodile, most of the gubbins were removed from the trailer.  the book states that the crocodile was to have been used in mark 4 Churchills but ended up in mark 7s.

The grass is from a roll of stuff thats used for model railways, the base is for an aeroplane really.
