It had been decided that my class would go to Prague for the money earned in Bordeaux.
We met at Nyborg Station sunday at 8 AM. We went by inter city train to the main station in Copenhagen, and changed to the Airport / Sweden train. At about 11:30 AM we checked in at the airport. I asked for a window seat, and got seat 21A, right in the back of the 737-500. This is the absolute last seat in the plane, and the seat did not recline  On the otherhand, i could see the tailplanes from the seat!
We then went on to the departures hall.
On a scale from 1 to 10, where 10 is the best, Copenhagen International Airport scores 0. First you get passed through the security control. There are some 20 security checkpoints, but instead they used only 2, meaning 10 minutes of waiting in line  When getting through the security, you end up in the middle of a perfume shop!?! WTF!  When/if you ever find your way out of that shop, you will find the most cramped and expensive terminal. All passengers, arriving and departing have to pass through here. There are FAR too many stalls and shops, and all are more expensive than Champs Elysees  F.eks, they had blocked a narrow passage with a car dealer, that focused on selling Ferraris and Porsches!  I found a seat next to a window, and began reading an aviation magazine i bought. I noticed a French AF KC-135 Take off, as well as an SAS A330-300 that had to abort take-off.
Finally, at 13:30 PM boarding started. After venturing through the terminals, i reached the gate. Boarding began quickly, and there where only few passengers on the flight. The aircraft was the first Sterling Boeing 737-500 painted red.
We taxied quickly to the runway at 14:00, on time, took-off. The crosswind was severe, and the pilot had to make very violent rudder corrections. We left the runway, and turned to the south for arrival in prague at 15:25. This quickly turned out to be the worst flight i have ever experienced. During landing, we bounced around, and the wings wobbled like they were made from jelly! We passed out of the clouds after 10 minutes of descending, and saw the industrial parts of prague below. We finally touched down at 15:00, 25 minutes before time, due to strong tailwinds! We were taken to the centre by a bus, and settled into the rooms.

After a few days in Prague, it was time to head home again on Thursday.
We left the hotel at 11:20, and were take to the airport by a bus. Check-in started at 13:00, and departure at 14:50. The check-in went fast, and i got seat 9F, a window seat. Only bad experience at this airport was the cheaky danes that tried jumping the line at cheack in. As punishment, a gaurd asked them to stand aside and show their passports, after which they were sent to the back of the line!  The security cheack was fast, and with no problems at all. I quickly went through the airport looking for a nice view, but was disappointed that the rooftop terrace was closed for passengers in terminal 2 (only for terminal one  ). I was pleasantly suprised when our aircraft arrived. A Sterling Boeing 737-800, and best of all, IT HAD WINGLETS ;D!   By the way, this was the 19th time i flew a 737!  Boarding was quick, and in no time we headed towards the runway and took off on time.
The flight was quite pleasant, and i was surprised to see an AeroSvit Boeing 767-300, and later an Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER pass right under us, about 200 meters below us (close enough to read the titles on the fuselage and tail).
Landing was nice, with nice views of the Swedish towns of Malmo and Ystad, and the Oresunds bridge. About 20 seconds from touchdown, a powerful downforce sent the plane down towards the sea, but the pilot reacted fast and put full throttle to the engines, and pulled up to counter it. After landing we proceeded through the mayhem that is Copenhagen International Airport, and got our baggage. We went by InterCity train to Nyborg, and went home from there!

Agreed, was also the highlight for me. Before i came to Prague, i thought i would see a lot of Tu-134s and -154s, but no, only a single -154 :-( Not even any parked in storage... (but i did see a Gulfsteam G-IV and a Bombardier Global Express on the Buisness apron, and 2 stored Fischer 737-300)

In Prague, i also spotted a Mi-8 from the castle.

Nice pics Thomas!  I went to Prague just over two years ago, for my 30th birthday.  A few aircraft shots from the visit:

These two Jet 2 aircraft are both from Leeds-Bradford Airport, unfortunately didn't get to snap anything in Prague airport.

This is an Aero Ae45S, hung from the ceiling in Prague Airport Arrivals Hall!

Did you visit the Technical Museum?  It was a little dry, but there were plenty of aircraft & vehicles there worth seeing.  I took plenty of pics!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Was there an Aero Ae45S in the arrivals hall? I suppose it was Terminal 1 you used, i didnt see it and we used Terminal 2 (which, to be honest, looked like it had been recently completed)

Didnt visit the Technical Museum, but i will most likely be going again with my family next year!

Very nice photos!

Yeah, I can't remember which terminal we used but it was a surprise seeing it there hung above us as we walked out!  Didn't know the type either, took a little digging to find out as I couldn't see an information board telling you what it was or why it was there.
