Did anyone get to Southern expo, and if so was it good?  I'd planned to go but sadly domestic realities got in the way. ;D ;D

Went on the Saturday morning. Was it good ? Curates egg really. If you've been before then you know how small it is, especialy considering the publicity it gets. Good selection of trade stands including Hannants. Club stands had some good stuff on them, including some nice WIF's. Stayed a couple of hours, which unless you have a "base" is about enough, spent some money, got what I was after so overall not a bad show from my point of view.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I dropped by on the sunday. ill echo Chris 's comments. but to be honest it wasnt realy worth a 200mile round trip as a punter...if we had a sig stand thats a differnt matter, but for a show of that small a size one day would have been more than ample.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

I was there with the Soviet Aircraft SIG stand (although I didn't get there until 1.30pm on Saturday due to car problems ). It was pretty much the same as in previous years - a friendly, well run show with a good selection of trade stands but it's simply too small to justify two days. If you're an exhibitor and committed to the two days, the Sunday seems to drag on forever and I wouldn't do it if the show wasn't only half an hour's drive from home. If you're going as a visitor, then about three hours on the Saturday morning is probably ideal.
